Reduck for n8n: the missing node to integrate any site easily
We are excited to announce the launch of Reduck for n8n!
It lets an n8n workflow use any site, even one with no API (LinkedIn, WhatsApp, ChatGPT), and with no credentials to set up (e.g. no need for Google or Microsoft OAuth process).
The integration challenges of n8n
n8n is a powerful open-source automation framework that recently took off as AI Agents made it easier to write workflows.
However, n8n can only reach what a site exposes through an API, and many sites expose little or nothing. LinkedIn, for example, has no API to read who liked or commented on a post.
If you are lucky, a third-party provider covers the gap, but it can be incomplete or expensive, and one workflow can need several of them. To turn LinkedIn post likes into CRM contacts, this template needs 4 paid accounts: Phantombuster, Lemlist, Dropcontact and HubSpot.
If you are not, nobody has built an integration and the automation stops there. Granola, for example, has no public API: its n8n request has 2.2K views and no solution.
Even when an API exists, getting a credential can be the hard part. To connect Outlook to self-hosted n8n, you first register an app in Microsoft Entra ID, pick the right account type, add n8n’s redirect URL and create a client secret. That secret lasts 24 months at most, and when it expires every workflow that uses it stops: “Nothing warns you before that day”.
Introducing Reduck for n8n
That’s why we built Reduck for n8n: an n8n node that runs Reduck scripts inside your workflows.
Our first product, Reduck MCP, enables Agents to navigate and interact with a website to then create reliable deterministic scripts to automate sites with no API.
Each script has a contract: its inputs become the node’s fields, and its output is the item the node returns, so Reduck nodes can be chained like any node.
Scripts run in your own Chrome, through our extension, where you are already logged in, which means there is no complex credential setup with OAuth app to make or a token to renew.
Here is an example of running a workflow that monitors daily if our brand is quoted by ChatGPT by sending prompts we want to win:
It first checks that memory is off on your ChatGPT account, so past chats do not bias the answer, then sends the prompt through ChatGPT’s own page.
This enables users to have data of how ChatGPT searches and answer prompts with the real harness and latest models, instead of the API which behaves differently.
It also uses your ChatGPT subscription, instead of paying 1 cent per web search through the API, plus the tokens of the pages it reads.
Get started in minutes
- Create an account at reduck.ai
- Install our Chrome extension in the Chrome you are signed in with, and pair it with your account
- Install the community node
@reduck-ai/n8n-nodes-reduckin your n8n - Add a Reduck node to a workflow, select Connect to Reduck as its credential, and pick a script
Setup details for each install are in our n8n quick start.
Integrating any site with scripts
To help you get started on the most popular workflows, Reduck maintains a library of official scripts for the most used sites, such as LinkedIn, Google Maps, Instagram and Stripe.
If you need a custom integration not covered by our library, ask your agent to create the script, then call it from our n8n node:
Use Reduck MCP to create a script that reads who reacted to a LinkedIn post
Once done, your scripts can be found at reduck.ai/projects and will appear inside Reduck for n8n node.
Conclusion
We just saw how Reduck for n8n enables users to automate any site within n8n by executing our scripts on your logged-in Chrome.
This solves challenges when there is no API, complex credentials setup even when an API exists, and provides a single integration to connect to any site.
